Message in a Bottle

26th May 2016

On Wednesday 25th May our SUSTRANS Active Travel representative Emma Keenan held a special event called ‘Message In A Bottle’ to connect multiple schools across the area who are engaged in the Sustrans Active Travel Programme.

The premise of the Message in a Bottle challenge is very simple. Each school was given a Sustrans water bottle. Into this bottle, there was a message for the next school, and a small gift. The bottle was then be picked up by Emma who cycled around all the schools to collect and deliver the messages.

Our school is currently working towards our Bronze School Mark Award. As part of this award, schools are encouraged to develop links with other active travel schools in the area. By participating in the Message in a Bottle Challenge, our school has established positive connections with two other Active Travel schools in the area.
